ACCOMODATION

Members of the hostel are required to adhere to the following rules and instructions with regard to accomodation.

• The member of the hostel should pay room rent, mess charges and other hostel service charges at the prescribed rates.

• All the payments to the hostel should be made at specified banks in the campus. Appropriate challans at appropriate times should be collected from the hostel office and payments duly made at the bank specified in the challan.

• Every member requiring accommodation will be provided with a cot, a chair, a table and a shelf . The accommodation may be single or shared room. It is the responsibility of the member/s to look after the furniture and fittings in the room. Members are required to bring their own mattresses, mosquito nets and such other requirements.

• Students who

  • discontinue their studies
  • are permitted break in studies
  • on cancellation of their registration for courses/research have to leave the Institute
  • those students who have been allotted apartments/quarters in the Institute campus

  shall vacate their room in the hostel within 7 days

• In case of

  • QIP research scholars completing their stay in the Institute and rejoin their parent organizations,
  • External Registrants completing their residential requirement of one term stay in the hostel,
  • Students who go abroad for short duration retaining their studentship at the Institute,

  shall vacate their rooms in the hostel on the dates of their leaving the Institute even if they retain their studentship at the Institute.

• The member should take prior permission from Chairman, Council of Wardens in order to entertain guests in her/his room. Permission is granted for not more than 7 days in a month.

• The hostel authorities shall reserve the right to check the rooms in the hostel at any time.
